Summerland Pools are E1 Certified to provide Pool Safety Compliance Certificates!

If you have a pool on your property, under NSW law it is your responsibility to make sure it complies with safety regulations.

What is a Certificate of Compliance?

From 29 April 2016, all rental properties with pools, and any properties for sale with pools must have a valid Certificate of Compliance. This is a Certificate verifying that your pool has been inspected by an Accredited Certifier and passes government regulations for pool safety.

What is a Certificate of Non-Compliance?

As a result of an inspection, if the pool does not meet government safety regulations, you can be issued a Certificate of Non-Compliance. The home can be sold with a non-compliance Certificate and it advises the purchaser that they have 90 days after settlement to attend to the items that did not meet regulations.  When the safety issues on the report are rectified, they can then arrange another inspection to obtain a Certificate of Compliance.

Purchasing a New Home?

When you buy a new home you arrange for building inspections and pest inspections, doesn’t it make sense to have a pool inspection as well?

With over 20 years’ experience in the pool industry, we will assess your pool, equipment and plumbing and provide a written report of any upcoming costs.  To replace pool equipment can add up to $1,000’s so you would be better off knowing before you end up with a White Elephant in your backyard.

Summerland Pools will arrange a time that suits you to perform the inspection. Within a week of you completing and returning our Agreement.  We are happy to provide you with a check list in advance so you can make sure your pool is ready for inspection.  This can save the need for a re-inspection if the pool fails Compliance the first time.

Upon completion of the inspection, Summerland Pools will provide a detailed report onsite of items that need correction along with recommended solutions, and follow up with an emailed report the following day.  If your pool passes inspection, we will email you a Compliance Certificate the same day.
